Mobile Van Program

The ICHC dental van provides routine dental care clinics at elementary schools, Head Start programs, and daycare centers throughout Whatcom County. Using mobile equipment, a dentist and dental assistant provide exams, cleaning, flossing, fluoride treatments and oral hygiene instruction.

For more information on the Mobile Van Program contact the Mobile Care Coordinator at 676-6177, ext. 3102.

  • People living with HIV/AIDS

Walk-in for Urgent Dental Care

ICHC has a limited number of openings Monday - Friday for walk-in adult urgent dental care. If you are in pain or have swelling, you should arrive at the health center at 7:45 a.m.

Patients are served on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no guarantee that you will be seen that same day.

When you get to the health center you have two options:

  1. Schedule an appointment for the next day (there are only 4 next day appointments available), or
  2. You may wait as a “stand by patient”. We will work you in if we get an opening because someone else cancels or does not show up for their appointment. We limit the number of patients waiting for these appointments to 4 per day.
